This is an awareness to the public that Justin Shane Baker who runs shanebakerstudios.com is a sexual pervert and unfit for any professional work with the opposite gender. This guy has lots of criminal records as seen in the picture below. He is now using his middle name to run a photography studio where he does underwater/model pictures to satisfy his sexual pervasion. Unfortunately many of his clients are not aware of his past.

I have worked with Shane at my job, an interior design firm, for a few years and the photos he has taken of our work have always turned out great and were given to us promptly. That is, until the last few months. We had a photoshoot at the end of March 2024 and expected to get the edited photos back within 2-3 weeks. It took him about a month and he only gave us about half back. I have emailed him numerous times reminding him that we are still expecting approximately 25 photos to be edited and about 6 photos that still need minor revisions.
Though we were still waiting on photos from our last shoot, we had him scheduled for another at the end of April 2024. We had the same issue. It took him approximately a month and a half to get us our edited photos. However, almost 40 images that we wanted edited were missing and nearly 20 images needed more editing.
We made Shane aware and still have not received all our images back. Lastly, we had a third photo shoot with him in mid-June. We requested to have 2 images edited and given back to us in an expedited manner, which he promised to do. We had a few minor notes after receiving those and that is when the communication completely stopped with Shane.
We still have 50 photos that need editing, Mind you, all three of these photo shoots were required to be paid in full. We have sent countless emails, texts, and left many voicemails. The only correspondence we have gotten is from Shane’s assistant, always promising that a response or photos will get back to us at a certain date, for that promise to be broken. We have finally requested that we get our money back and again, Shane’s assistant promised we would hear from Shane and get our money back and that promise was broken.
We have been told that Shane is going through health issues and a slew of other excuses, which we have the utmost sympathy for. There comes a point in which the frustration of broken promises, having to reschedule social media posts and other marketing materials, that we are at our breaking point. We have no faith that we will get our photos or our money back. We are disheartened and disappointed.

One of the most important characteristics, that will either be your wings to success or a weight that will follow you, is your level of professional integrity. Please note: this is the last thing I ever wanted to have to post about someone (especially someone I considered a friend) and it really sucks that it has to come to this but I hope that by being transparent, others can learn from this situation and my experience.
I had hired Shane Baker’s company back in May to do work for one of my businesses. They screwed up several times due to poor leadership and direction. NOTE: Their mistakes created a negative impact on my business and loss of revenue that I am still trying to repair. During this time, Shane’s business partner/manager suddenly quit working for Shane as well. With no leadership and multiple mishaps, it was clear they were not capable or have the competence available to follow through with what I had hired them to do.
Like the review below, Shane ‘pointed the reasons downstream on to others’ and also promised to refund my company’s money. When the refund was not received, I notified Shane and he would again promise to “get it taken care of ‘this’ week”. Shane has made this promise to me directly a half dozen-ish times over the past 4 months and he still has not refunded the money back to my company.
The holidays have come and gone and I have again reached out to Shane directly – email, text, Facebook…. The nice thing about Facebook is you know when your messages are read. I do know for a fact he has seen my requests for a response and a refund. I received neither. Shane’s total lack of any response creates the impression that he never intended to honor his word in the first place to refund the money owed and is now avoiding all communications.
Again, it sucks to have to share this. I had at one time considered Shane a friend but if you treat your friends like this, how do you treat clients/customers? There is that saying: How you behave in one area of your life, will show up in all areas of your life. Reputation and integrity is everything in business. Avoid something… and one way or another, it will catch up to you in many more ways that just one.
